To use the Fuel Injector Size tool to select the correct size injector for your engine, fill out the above form with the
specified data. Here are some hints -
- Horsepower - Expected Horsepower of the engine build
- BSFC - Naturally aspirated engine will have a BSFC in the range 0.50, or another words 0.50 lbs. of fuel per/hour for each horsepower
it makes. Supercharged and Turbocharged engines will want to be at 0.60 lbs/per plus
- Number of Injectors - Number of Injectors used (often 1 per cylinder, but not always true)
- Max Duty Cycle - Injector Duty Cycle should normally not be over 80% (0.80)
- Fuel Pressue - The fuel pressure in your rails. Commonly 43.5 psi
