Modern Muscle Launches www.9SecondCamaro.com

Modern Muscle recently launched 9SecondCamaro.com – a vlog side devoted to documenting the evolution of the shop’s monster 1000 HP Camaro build for SEMA 2009.

Modern Muscle will be handling the full drive train, tuning, Peddler’s suspension and the overall mechanical performance. Rick Bottom will be handling overall project management, paint, body, interior and final assembly. Sound Decision of Montgomery, Illinois will install a full state of the art sound system.

This project will be the platform for Modern Muscle’s new turn-key ‘Supercar’ builds – delivering customized high performance cars.

Hot Rod Magazine: “His Other Job”

“HIS OTHER JOB”

06/08 – “You know him as Ryan Diem, right tackle for the Indianapolis Colts, but that’s just his day job. Seems Ryan’s teamed up with a close friend and engineering classmate to open a 10,000-square-foot high-performance/fabrication/restoration shop called Modern Muscle in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. The shop’s first project on the books is a ’64 Chevelle SS designed to be an all-purpose Pro Touring car. Here’s a quick rundown: a 1,000hp twin-turbo 6.7L Gen III; coilover suspension with tubular upper and lower control arms up front and a custom fabricated four-link and Strange Engineering 9-inch in the back; big six-piston Wilwood cross-drilled discs; huge 20×12-inch Billet Specialties Stilletos wearing Mickey Thompson S/R radials; a 10-point chrome-moly rollcage; power everything; and a high-end sound system inside. Not bad for a first try, but the best part is that it’s not for a customer. Ryan says it’s the shop project car and will be abused accordingly. We can’t wait to see the proof.”
